Time: 8:30 AM - 11:00 AM CDT
Event Description:
Join TLC and other fellow Hill Country enthusiasts for a special Earth Day hike exploring Los Rincones -138 acres owned by the Texas Land Conservancy. This preserve features Juniper-oak woodlands, grassland savannas, and is a beautiful snapshot of the Texas Hill Country in Kerrville. The hike will last for two hours and will feature interpretation from Master Naturalists and professional birders. With its rolling hills and vistas, Los Ricones is perfect for viewing Texas wildflowers and protects prime habitat for the golden-cheeked warbler and the black-capped vireo. Hikes are free for children under 16 and are a benefit for all TLC members (annual donors of $35 or more). Nonmembers are also welcome to attend for $15 per person. To become a member, visit www.texaslandconservancy.org. Los Ricones is not normally open to the public, so address and directions will be sent out the week prior to the event.
