MUSEUM OF WESTERN ART SCHEDULES 34TH ANNUAL ART SHOW AND SALE

The Museum of Western Art announces the date for its annual art sale and exhibition. “The Party” will take place on Saturday, September 16, 2017, and will feature an elegant evening and attendees’ opportunity to purchase quality art by over 50 of today’s finest Western artists. “The Party,” the major fundraiser for the award-winning Museum of Western Art, will begin at 6 p.m. with an elegant cocktail buffet catered by Riverhill Country Club, plenty of libations, visiting the artists and other guests, and a silent auction of the work on view. Stephanie Turnham, executive director of the museum, said, “The Purchase of the art on view is not only an investment in art and artists, it is also an investment in the Museum, which has been in Kerrville since 1983. Proceeds from this event go to support the Museum’s quality educational programs and also provide operating support for this world-class non-profit organization. They also help fund preservation and conservation projects.” Bart Jones, Museum Board member and Chair of the event, said, “We are really looking forward to this fun day. We have been planning “The Party” since last year, and want everyone to take advantage of this unique opportunity to purchase original fine art. Our Museum is a great resource for the city and state; since its inception in 1983j, the museum has been visited by people from all over the world who are drawn to the mystique of cowboy culture and the great American West.
