The National Museum of the Pacific War (NMPW) will commemorate Memorial Day virtually at 11 a.m. on Monday, May 31, 2021. The commemorative program honors the men and women who gave their lives in military service. This year’s commemoration will be via video featuring a keynote by General John F. Kelly, USMC (Ret.) who recently served as White House Chief of Staff under President Trump. After a brief introduction by General Mike Hagee, USMC (Ret.) and President and CEO of the Admiral Nimitz Foundation and General Kelly’s address, we will recognize members of the Memorial Wreath Endowment Program. The ceremony concludes with an invocation by Captain Roger Spencer, USN (Ret) and taps. Access to the virtual event is free for all and may be viewed at any time after its initial airing.
