Date: November 29, 2019
Time: 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM CST
Event Description:
Nov. 29-30 Sleigh Racer Challenge at the Science Mill How does Santa deliver all those toys in just one night? The secret is your engineering skill! Use recycled materials to design and build a souped-up sleigh that harnesses the physics of motion to fly (plus a pinch of holiday magic). When your sleigh is ready for the big night, send it on a ride across the globe to see if it has what it takes to carry Santa and his gifts to his target destination. Make the Science Mill your destination during the opening weekend of Lights Spectacular in Johnson City! We’re open late until 6pm on Friday, 11/29 and Saturday, 11/30. Explore 50+ hands-on exhibits and stock up on holiday gifts at the Science Store, with the best selection of science toys and gifts in the Hill Country. Then watch Johnson City transform into the “Twinkliest Town in Texas,” and enjoy an evening of activities, starting with fireworks on Friday and a Lighted Hooves and Wheels Parade on Saturday at 6:30pm.
