Jimmie Rodgers chose Kerrville as home to his Blue Yodeler’s Paradise at 617 West Main. The Father of Country Music lived in Kerrville from 1929-1933. He then moved to a duplex in San Antonio until his death in 1935. He was in NYC recording his last songs when he died of Tuberculosis, the disease that led him to the town of Kerrville, known then for TB care.

We are honored to keep this tradition alive. Join us at the historic Arcadia theatre to celebrate the memory of Jimmie Rodgers and the lasting impact he made on Kerrville and the trajectory of American Country music.
